Dominique Gillis
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Dominique grew up in Waterloo, Ontario and pursued her education at Western University in London, followed by the Hearing Instrument Specialist program at Conestoga College in Kitchener. She graduated from Conestoga in April 2015 and has been passionate about hearing care ever since.
Her journey into the field began while working at a hearing aid manufacturer (Phonak) during university, where she discovered a strong interest in helping people through hearing healthcare. That experience sparked a lasting dedication to supporting individuals with hearing loss.
Dominique joined Davidson Hearing Aid Centres in June 2025, drawn by the company’s local roots and family-owned values. She appreciates the independence of the clinic, which allows her to focus on recommending personalized hearing solutions tailored to each patient’s needs.
Her daily responsibilities include performing comprehensive hearing assessments, fitting and adjusting hearing aids, providing patient counselling, and handling maintenance and minor repairs. She loves the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and takes pride in helping improve their communication and quality of life.
Outside of work, Dominique enjoys playing tennis, baking, and spending time with her family.
