Francine Larochelle
Audiologist
Initially, Francine was interested in a science career. She started university studying biochemistry but soon discovered her true calling. Career quizzes and tests indicated that Francine would be well-suited for an audiology career.
The combination of working with technology and science perfectly matched her personality, and on a personal level, she recalled her grandfather’s struggle with hearing loss. This prompted her to pursue audiology as her career choice.
Francine joined the Davidson Hearing Aid Centres team as an audiologist in 2008. Recalling her job interview experience, Francine says it went really well and that joining the team “just felt right.” She particularly liked that Davidson is a family business with whom she shared the same values with. However, to this day, Mr. Davidson teases her about the real reason she got the job: Francine knew what a shad fly was!
Fifteen years later, Francine doesn’t regret following her instincts and joining the team. She thoroughly enjoys making a difference in people’s lives.
Outside of work, Francine keeps busy trying to run after her two young children and understanding her two teenagers at the same time. As a family, they like to go outside, take walks, camping, playing board games, etc. And if that isn’t busy enough, Francine always makes sure to get her alone time at 5 a.m. for a good workout.
