David Morasse
Audiologist
Working within healthcare appealed to David because he loved the idea of helping people improve their quality of life. He now enjoys working with seniors and mastering the new, ever-evolving hearing technology. David has witnessed family members struggle with hearing challenges, prompting him to know what technologies exist to improve their hearing.
In May 2019, David joined Davidson Hearing Aid Centres as a student and then began working as an audiologist in August that same year. His favourite things about working at Davidson include the fact it’s a family-owned business, the great team spirit where clinicians share knowledge and strive to excel, the flexibility of working with different hearing aid brands and the opportunity to access regular continued education and trainings to stay current with the science and technology.
David’s daily responsibilities include meeting with patients and discussing their hearing challenges; completing hearing evaluations; recommending hearing solutions and/or prescribing, fitting, programming, adjusting, repairing and testing hearing aids and assistive listening devices; wax removal; taking ear impressions; and other tasks.
The best part about his job, according to David, is always learning more as an audiologist about what technologies exist and how they work to help his patients.
In his free time, David enjoys the outdoors (hiking, running, trail running, ice hockey, camping) with family and friends as well as playing piano.
