Mohamad Awada
Audiologist
Mohamad grew up in the south end of Ottawa, where he attended Glebe Collegiate Institute. He went on to complete a degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, followed by a degree in Psychology at Carleton University. He later earned his Master’s degree in Audiology from Western University.
Mohamad’s path into hearing care was shaped by his experience working as a medical responder, where he developed a deep appreciation for the importance of clear communication, especially in critical moments. This perspective continues to guide his work today, as he helps patients stay connected not only in urgent situations, but in their everyday lives.
In his role at Davidson Hearing Aid Centres, Mohamad provides comprehensive hearing care, including hearing assessments, personalized solution recommendations, and the prescribing and fitting of hearing aids. He also offers earwax removal services and supports patients experiencing tinnitus. Mohamad takes pride in delivering thoughtful, individualized care and ensuring each patient feels comfortable and confident throughout their journey.
What Mohamad enjoys most about his work is building meaningful relationships with his patients. He values taking the time to understand their stories and finds great satisfaction in helping improve their quality of life through better hearing.
Outside of the clinic, Mohamad enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is a passionate hockey fan and also enjoys woodworking whenever he has the opportunity.
