Davidson’s Kids Program
We all know that hearing is very important, especially for developing children. That is why we have started our Kids Program. What does that mean? We are now providing our children’s hearing aids without any dispensing fee. This will not only reduce costs for families, but will also help to ensure that kids are wearing the hearing aids they need, not just the cheapest option. Another benefit of our childrens program is priority appointment times and expedited orders and repairs. This will ensure that your child does not go too long without their hearing aid. And if they do need to send an aid in for a repair, we will do our best to provide a similar loaner hearing aid while it is away at no cost. Please call or e-mail us if you have any more questions about our Kids Program.
Growing Ears
We have been a part of fitting hearing aids on children as young as a month or two old. At these early stages, the rate at which ears are growing is very rapid and ear molds may need replacing as often as every 3-4 months. Luckily this quickly slows down and by age 4, it is often less than once a year. With that said, there are costs associated with having to replace hearing aid ear molds. To further reduce the financial burden on families, we charge a reduced rate of only $60 per ear mold for children.
Children do better with Roger
We all know how important it is for children to hear the instructions clearly. For years, school boards have been providing hard of hearing children with FM systems. This allows the teacher to wear a microphone that picks up their voice and transmits it directly to the child’s ears through their hearing aids. This is the gold standard for improving the signal to noise ratio.
These systems, have not historically been used very much outside of school due to costs. As a Roger Certified Partner, Davidson Hearing Aid Centres is now able to offer families these systems for personal use at a significantly reduced price. The new Phonak Roger systems can make a huge improvement in your child’s ability to participate in challenging day-to-day environments such as sports, music lessons, social clubs, tours, traveling in vehicles and even on family vacations.
