Product launches are one of the most exciting times of the year at Davidson’s. Giving our clinicians a chance to experience the new updated technology and learn what benefits each manufacturer offers. It is just as important to give our clients a chance to learn about the new technology on the market and understand the key features each hearing aid has to offer. This fall we have seen new products from Oticon, ReSound, Signia, and Starkey. Phonak has just released the details on their newest product, Marvel, which will hit the Canadian market on November 28, 2018.

Starkey Livio AI – The Health and Wellness hearing aid

Livio AI is a new hearing aid on the market with superb sound quality and is one of the first hearing aids to offer health tracking directly through the Thrive app and your hearing aids.

Hearing Reality™ is a new feature introduced by Starkey. This technology has the ability to better replicate natural hearing to provide unprecedented sound quality. The Livio AI features innovative technologies that empower users with benefits that go beyond traditional amplification.

Some of the the features included in this new hearing aid include a health and wellness driven app, direct translation capabilities and a new telehealth feature to ensure you can contact your audiologist for small adjustments from your own home. Signia Styletto – Sleek and Slim

Signia’s revolutionary design is the fruit of their efforts to redefine what hearing aids should look like. They are extremely small, featuring an all new type of Pin battery versus the traditional coin battery.

The new design also boasts a new robust charging system that is small enough to put in your pocket. The charger lasts on a single charge for 3 days allowing you to take your hearing aids and charger on the go for a long weekend without the need of extra cables.

Using the Signia Pure Nx Platform these hearing aids offer incredible features that the other Pure Nx hearing aids offer. With built in bluetooth, you can control everything right from your smartphone. In addition, you can stream TV directly to your hearing aids, or hear every word that your tour guide has to say, even if you are at the back of the group. GN ReSound Quattro: World’s first premium plus hearing aid

Resound just recently launched the LiNX Quattro hearing aid with their new Chip Platform. The new computer chip boasts 100% increase in speed, 20% more power and double the memory than ReSound’s former chip. As a result, these advancements enable the hearing aids to distinguish layers of sound while providing you with clarity in the finer details.

The new LiNX Quattro rechargeable system showcases the longest lasting rechargeable hearing aid on the market. A full charge only takes 3 hours and can last up to 30 hours on a single charge. Widex EVOKE 2.4 Fusion, Summer 2018 Recap

The complete Widex EVOKE line of hearing aids were released between May and July 2018. Phonak Marvel – Coming November 28, 2018

Phonak has just announced their newest product, Marvel. This December they will be release two models of the Marvel technology in the receiver-in-the-canal (RIC) format. One model will use regular disposable batteries while the second one will continue on the success of their World’s first Li-ion rechargeable battery technology.
